I had a mixed experience at Mercure Grand Hotel Biedermeier Wien. The location is super central, making it easy to get around. However, my check-in took ages, and the noise from the cleaning staff early in the morning was pretty annoying. On the bright side, the breakfast spread was fantastic, with fresh options that really hit the spot.

Rooms
8.0
My room was spacious and clean overall, but I had some bad luck with the cleaning schedule. The chemicals used for cleaning were a bit too strong, and I had to air out the room after it was cleaned.
Service
5.0
The reception service was a bit of a letdown because my check-in was delayed for five hours, which was frustrating after a long trip. But on the other hand, the staff was friendly and responsive to my concerns.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location is perfect! It's close to Wien Mitte station, which made traveling to the airport and around the city super easy. Plus, it's quiet, which I loved.
Dining
9.0
Breakfast was definitely a highlight! There was a good variety, and I loved being able to have fresh omelettes made. It made for a relaxing start to the day, especially since they served until 11 am on weekends.
Facilities

While the hotel has some good amenities, I did notice that the elevators were a bit cramped and had a smoke smell. Still, they offered a nice atmosphere for relaxation.

6.2/10

I had a bit of a rough start with my stay due to an overbooking issue, which forced me to switch hotels despite Mercure Grand Hotel Biedermeier Wien being quite charming with its historical allure. However, the hotel staff were swift in arranging a transfer, which was appreciated. Once settled in, the location was perfect for exploring the city, and the breakfast spread was a standout, though finding a table was sometimes a challenge.

Rooms
6.0
My room was a bit cramped with a sloping ceiling, which limited usable space. Also, I found the shared power outlet inconvenient for my kettle placement.
Service
7.0
The staff were friendly and made efforts to assist us, particularly during the breakfast rush and when we needed help on multiple occasions.
Location
8.0
The hotel is conveniently situated about 20 minutes from the center, and I appreciated having easy access to Wien Mitte for transport connections.
Dining
7.0
Breakfast options were vast and of high quality, though the overflow area had lukewarm food. The omelette station was a nice touch during busy mornings.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel’s amenities were adequate but could use some updating. I noticed that the overall condition of the building felt a bit tired.

5.0/10

My stay at the Mercure Grand Hotel Biedermeier Wien was enjoyable, thanks to its unique Biedermeier decor and excellent location near transport links. The breakfast was delicious, offering a variety of options. However, I had a frustrating experience with the front desk staff, which made check-in and requests more challenging than they should have been. Overall, while the ambiance and food impressed me, the service aspect could certainly improve. 😊

Rooms
8.0
I found the room to be clean and charming, though on the smaller side with the bed nestled against the wall. I appreciated the overall decor, but some amenities felt lacking for a four-star hotel.
Service
6.0
While the front desk service was less than ideal and I faced issues with communication about late check-out, other areas, like the bar, had friendly staff that enhanced my experience.
Location
9.0
The location was fantastic, tucked away in a quieter alley, which made it feel like a more authentic part of Vienna. It was just a short walk to the train station and plenty of dining options, making it super convenient.
Dining
7.0
Breakfast was a highlight of my stay, with a versatile buffet that included rich options like fresh omelettes and organic juices. However, the evening meals did not quite match that quality, which was a bit disappointing.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel had adequate facilities, although the lack of an elevator from the parking garage was inconvenient when carrying heavy luggage. Overall, it had all basic services covered well.

5.2/10

I had a mixed experience during my stay. While the location was convenient with good transport links and the staff at reception were friendly, I found the rooms could use some improvements, particularly with comfort and amenities. The dining options were decent, but I felt some aspects could enhance the overall experience.

Rooms
7.0
The room was clean and spacious, but I found the bed too hard for my liking. The layout was a bit odd, with the toilet separate from the sink and shower area.
Service
6.0
The reception staff were generally polite and efficient, though there were some issues at checkout that were frustrating. Nevertheless, they were responsive to complaints when they arose.
Location
8.0
I appreciated the hotel's location, just a short walk from Wien Mitte station, making it easy to get around the city and to the airport. It's quite central and close to major attractions.
Dining
7.0
The breakfast offered a variety of quality options, including fresh omelettes. However, I found the additional food and drink prices in the bar to be on the higher side.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel had some charming historical features but also several areas in need of renovation. While it had good amenities, some felt very dated.

6.4/10

My stay at the Mercure Grand Hotel Biedermeier Wien was quite enjoyable overall. The location is a definite plus, being just a short walk from Wien Mitte station, yet it was surprisingly tranquil. I did find the decor a bit dated and the room somewhat compact, but the cleanliness and service made up for it.

Rooms
8.0
The room was spotlessly clean and spacious, though I did notice it felt a bit compact at times. The bathroom was particularly tight, and the shower door led to some water on the floor, which was a minor inconvenience.
Service
9.0
The staff were consistently friendly and attentive, providing a warm welcome that set a positive tone for my stay. I appreciated their willingness to assist, making my experience enjoyable.
Location
8.0
The hotel's location is excellent. It's within walking distance of Wien Mitte station, offering convenient access to public transport. Despite being near a busy road, it felt peaceful inside.
Dining
8.0
While I didn't indulge in breakfast at the hotel, I enjoyed my meals at the two on-site restaurants. They offered a good range of dishes, and the courtyard bar was a lovely spot for evening drinks.
Facilities
8.0
The hotel features decent amenities like a well-equipped gym and sauna. However, parking was slightly on the pricey side, which was a bit of a downside.
